Standing at 5,199 meters above sea level, Mt Kenya is the second highest mountain in Africa. Mt Kenya provides the best technical alpine climbing in Africa combined with incredible and challenging treks, this is the real climbers mountain.

Batian and Nelion are both technical ascents, point Lenana is the highest trekking Peak.

What an amazing experience climbing Mt. Kenya. I’m not an experienced climber, but Julius and their team from African Habitat Explorer were especially awesome, and I felt so safe climbing with them!
Julius is an amazing leader with great people skills and checked-in with us regularly throughout the climb. I was particularly impressed by how well they understood the weather as it changed throughout the day
We were given thorough and clear instructions and safety on the climb was their paramount concern. Mt Kenya is a great climb for those of all skill levels, and I took great comfort knowing that we were in good hands with African Habitat Explorer.

Climbing with experts is what made a climb enjoyable!!
Julius and his team were attentive to all our inquires and requirements. On our first night in Kenya, they went through a gear check for each climber making sure we all have what we needed to have a comfortable climb. They were even able to rent few items to though who needed them.
Their skillfulness and their presence made the difference and helped us to get to the summit. They were with us every step of the way and held our hands when we needed them especially coming down as maneuvering around rocks coming down and being tired is not a joke.
I am grateful for the experience and I would not have done it without their support.
I highly recommend them as they totally understand the type of climbers they are dealing with and they will always go out of their way to help, assist and answer and questions.
Julius made sure that he does a morning check with everyone to make sure we health condition is stable and we can move to the next level. I appreciate his attention to every single person and their ability to cater to our needs.
