A big THANK YOU to Julius and his team for an amazing trip to Rwanda, to see the great apes and the golden monkeys, and then on to Kenya for a wonderful safari. From the moment we landed in Rwanda until we left from Nairobi, Julius and his team took such great care of us. I was concerned about living out of a tent for 10 days but that concern was gone at first sight of the tent. Very comfortable bedding, inside bathroom facilities, I guess you would call it “glambing”. And the food was wonderful !
The meals the chef and staff prepared were amazing ! The crew was so friendly and so knowledgible about everything we saw – and we saw alot! The big five, the ugly five and animals I had never heard of. What an amazing trip. Many memories and friendships made on this trip – thank you African Habitat – I love you all.

We had a fabulous time on our safari with Julius and his team. They were very knowledgeable and taught us many things about the animals and history of them and their country. I would highly recommend his team to anyone that plans on visiting Africa. Excellent food and accommodations in transit and out in the bush. No details overlooked!

My family first met Julius when he was our guide working for another safari company. During this first to Africa we bonded with Julius, especially my son. Whether we were sitting at the breakfast table, sitting by the fire in the evening or exploring Kenya in the early mornings to try and see the big five, Julius was full of knowledge and stories. When we decided to take another trip to Africa, we knew the only person we wanted to guide was Julius. Even know it had been several years since we last saw Julius, we picked up right where we left off. We fist went to Rwanda to see the gorillas, this was a once in a life time experience! We also returned to Kenya and this time we did see the big five! Julius is the best guide you could ask for!

Julius and his team provided us with an amazing experience we will never forget. Everything was top notch, from the deluxe camping accomodations and meals to the transportation (including private airplanes!) between sites. Not only was the staff very knowledgeable about the wildlife and local culture and history, they were also so friendly and helpful for all of our needs, even doing our laundry and preparing hot showers for us! The daily schedules were very organized and varied to also include optional cultural visits to meet some of the local people, and the opportunity to support them with purchases of their handmade wares. Meals were fantastic and varied as well, it was amazing to us that the staff could prepare such delicious food all over an open fire! They also made daily campfires for us where we enjoyed happy hour and post dinner storytelling. Tents were spacious with indoor bathroom facilities. We saw so many animals and birds, and our guides were able to explain everything about them while still respecting the wildlife and giving them their space. They were great at finding the more elusive species and were also willing to spend as little or as much time as we wished at each respective site. We were with a group of friends, but I would recommend this trip and Julius to anyone looking for a unique and beautiful adventure!
